Who Are You?
You are an experienced developer who believes you can create code that makes recommendations and suggestions like a human expert. Recommendation engines for e-commerce and similar are cool, but you’d like to apply your skills at the next level by developing next generation algorithms to guide a user through data exploration. You see yourself developing consumer-facing technologies that solve problems across large amounts of data.
Why Join Us?
We're a well-funded start-up looking for hardworking and talented people to help us change the way people think about data. We are heavily influenced by user-centric product design and see ourselves at the intersection of design and data. As an early team member, you’ll gain invaluable experience helping us develop our product and build the company from the early days. Our goal is to enable anyone to understand the data that matters most to them, and we want your help!
We love to push the boundaries of design and technology and have fun doing it. We have fantastic office space in San Francisco's SoMa district with plenty of snacks and drinks on hand (including a dedicated, hard-working beer fridge). When we’re not brainstorming new ways to make our users look like heroes, we're conquering the climbing wall, enjoying monthly team activities, or engaging in spirited conversations at our Friday Beer o'clock outings (though the topics frequently drift towards bacon or sports).
Founded in 2011 by Big Data veteran Chris Neumann and consumer experience expert Jeff Zabel, DataHero is designed to enable users of any ability to quickly and easily understand the data that matters most to them. Users can import their data and create visualizations in minutes using only a web browser, with no IT and no data expert needed. DataHero is based in San Francisco, CA.
